Badly Drawn Boy

Bolton-born singer/songwriter Badly Drawn Boy aka Damon Gough, best recognised by his signature tea cosy hats. Coming to Glasgow’s Saint Luke’s on 29th March 2023.

He began his career after meeting DJ Andy Votel. Launching the independent record label Twisted Nerve and releasing a number of well-received EPs in the late 1990s. Gough would follow these up with a debut album in 2000 titled “The Hour of Bewilderbeast” which won the Mercury Music Prize. Off the back of this success, he recorded the soundtrack for the 2002 hit film “About a Boy”, starring Hugh Grant. 

Gough kept adding to his eclectic discography. With subsequent albums being released over the span of the next two decades including “Have You Fed The Fish?”. As well as “One Plus One Is One”, “Born In The U.K”, “Is There Nothing We Could Do?”. His most recent project, the critically acclaimed “Banana Skin Shoes” from 2020.
