Dylan has been named one of Ticketmaster’s Breakthrough 2023 artists. Coming to Glasgow’s O2 Academy on 29th October 2023.

Before she was 10 years old Dylan stood on her kitchen table, strumming a homemade pink plywood guitar, pretending she was headlining Wembley. Now having played the venue five times, including opening for Ed Sheeran, Dylan might soon have to aim even higher.

Growing up in the village of Bures, Suffolk, the young Dylan – real name Tash Woods – was raised on a diet of show tunes (mum) and AC/DC, Aerosmith and Guns ’N’ Roses (dad). Diagnosed with Irlens Syndrome, a neurological condition that affected her sight, learning to read music was off the table, but she picked up the guitar through copying her brother as he learned the instrument. Flash forward a few years and she was wrapping recording sessions for her debut EP around taking her A-levels, and working with Grammy-nominated producer Will Hicks on Purple, a collection of massive hook-driven pop that showcased not only her unique style but also the candid lyrics that have now connected with so many. Every song a dissection of her life and loves, Dylan’s incisive style shows a maturity beyond her years, as well as an honest energy that can’t be faked.

She never stops exploring the limits of her sound

Though she’s never stopped exploring the limits of where her sound might take her (with the more electronic-focused synth-pop of ‘Good Enough’ and the piano ballad intimacy of ‘IKWYDLN’)  Dylan has been steadily focusing her style since she started. With 2022’s No Romeo EP, Dylan found her strongest voice yet. The three massive singles ‘You’re Not Harry Styles’, ‘Nineteen’ and the title track each took a different path but all fitted within the ‘Dylan sound’, held together by her sense of melody and confidence. Best yet was the huge ‘Girl Of Your Dreams’, which heavily featured glorious guitar strumming and took flight more than anything she had penned to date. She aired these songs live on a sold-out autumn UK tour and announced a headline tour for early 2023, quickly selling out the O2 Shepherd’s Bush Empire.

2022 also saw the release of mixtape The Greatest Thing I’ll Never Learn, which saw the singer embrace the anthem more than ever before with explosive tracks such as ‘The Greatest Thing’ and ‘Nothing Lasts Forever’. In 2023, barely off the road for more than a few months, Dylan announced her next live adventure in The Rebel Child Tour, set to take her across the UK and Europe that October and November.
