Glasgow North East Fireworks Display is being held by Community Events Scotland. Coming to Glasgow Fort on Saturday 5th November 2022!

Everything you need to know about Glasgow North East Fireworks Festival

The event will run from 11am to 9:30pm. With a funfair and performances throughout the day and the fireworks display taking place in the evening.

Here’s everything you need to know about the festival before setting off:

What are the timings for the event?
The free festival will open at 11am with stage performances starting from 12pm, including tribute band Little Mix Magic at 2:30pm. The fireworks display will take place from 7:30pm and Glaswegian band Scheme will close the event from 8pm – 9pm. Festival goers can also enjoy a funfair throughout the day and into the evening, with all rides subject to a small cost.

Do I need to book a ticket?
No booking is required but the event is likely to be very popular therefore we recommend arriving in plenty of time.

Are sparklers allowed?
To keep everyone safe, sparklers are banned at the event.

How do I get to the event?
Organisers are recommending those attending the Fireworks Festival walk or take public transport to get to the event where possible. If you are travelling by car, please be aware that the car parks are likely to be busy, so allow for additional time to travel and consider parking at the other designated festival car parks.  

Where can I park?
If you are travelling by car, please be aware that the car parks are likely to be busy, so allow for additional time to travel and consider parking at the other designated festival car parks  including Glasgow Club Easterhouse, The Lochs Shopping Centre and Platform, the art centre on Westerhouse Road, which are all in walking distance.

Will the shops and restaurants be open at Glasgow Fort?
Glasgow Fort will be open as usual. Visitors will have access to Glasgow Fort’s shops and restaurants as normal throughout the day, including the newly opened Leopardo Pizza, as well as Monterey Jacks, Five Guys and Nando’s, and many more. Please visit www.glasgowfort.com for more information. There will also be a selection of pop-up food stalls around the venue during the festival.

Is alcohol allowed/will alcohol be served at the event?
Alcohol will be strictly prohibited at the event.

Will food be available at the event?
There will also be a selection of pop-up food stalls around the venue during the festival and the restaurants and cafes at Glasgow Fort will be open as usual.

What should I wear?
The event will take place outdoors therefore please dress appropriately for the weather.

Are there toilet facilities?
There will be temporary toilet facilities within the event space and visitors can also use the centre toilet facilities including accessible toilets located next to the customer services (between Zara and The Body Shop)

Is there a cash machine at the event?
There is no cash machine within the event space but there are cash machines located within the centre at M&S, next to Fort News, at the side of Three and within Poundland.
