Yes it is very sad seeing some of the messages and it makes it hard to speak sometimes when you see them from the stage but I am so proud of you and you were all making history this year with the first ever £1 million Cancer Research UK Race for Life.

My daughter and I ran in the Race for Life and we crossed the finish line together, it was such a lovely moment for us both, even though we were out of puff! it was well worth it when you read some of the messages and see pictures. We had such a great day and will be doing it next year too. Well done all the runners and walkers x
Brilliant!!! I took part in this race for the first time this year with dear friends and colleague’s. We are Jo Jo Angels!! Louise, Tracey, Kerry, Kirsty, Clare, Kelly & Isabel. We were running for Joanna!! Joined by Jenny her daughter and sister Eileen. Joanna is fighting (and winning)the fight against breast cancer. It looks like our target of £1,000.00 will be doubled. A great big thanks to all who supported us and for everybody who took part.
This was my 5th Race For Life & what another great day had by all.
Congradulations to every person who took part.xx

I took part along with my 2 sisters and 2 neices in the 2010 race for life today, 6th June for the first time. We very sadly lost our Mum to cancer 6 months ago. It was a very emotional experience for us, thinking of our Mum, but also reading all the messages other people were displaying. The Glasgow event is so well supported and it was such a wonderful day, knowing you and 16,500 other people were caring and to raising funds for such a great charity. x
I ran my second 5k on the 6th of June 2010. It is always an amzing atmosphere and so many supporters cheering you on! It’s a fantastic charity to be a part of – bring on the 10k next year!! xxx
I took part today in my first ever Race for Life 6th June 2010 in Glasgow with my friend Laura(who has done Race for Life last year).I was very much in a humble postion today to be with so many women and children who have their lifes affected by cancer. Having had friends this year who are having their own battles with breast and bowl cancer, walking the 5k was very exciting and really enjoyed talking part, walking or running for Cancer Research UK, sponsorship money will be greatfully received and used to hopefully one day find a cure, finally.
Thank you Race for Life, Thank you Cancer Research UK for all your very hard work, looking forward to next year.
I took part June7th 2009 with niece ashley and 2 special friends Anne and Liz
it was our first time and was a very emotional experience but one I am repeating this year. it would have been my sister allison’s birthday but she had died from breast cancer the year before but we saw so many other people taking part who are survivors.
Liz is a survivor but unfortunately is again fighting this dreadful disease.
I am doing it this year with my 2 granddaughters age 9+5 we are really looking forward to it and raising funds for such an marvelous charityxxx
