Homecoming Live – The Final Fling
Saturday 28th November 2009
Location: SECC & Clyde Auditorium, Glasgow
Tickets: From £22.50 for SECC, and from £22.50 for Clyde Auditorium
On Saturday the 28th of November, Scotland will proudly celebrate St Andrews day (albeit 2 days early) with a festival that will bring Scots from across the globe for a one-off ‘reunion’, at Homecoming Live – The Final Fling in Glasgow’s SECC.
Line up
The festival will contain the best of Scottish music from the past 3 decades.
SECC Hall 4: For the first time ever, acclaimed artists will come together on stage to celebrate the golden era of Scottish music in the SECC’s Hall 4. The line up in Hall 4 will include one of Scotlands biggest exports, and a band that is known as one of the best live acts – the one and only Deacon Blue. Also performing on this stage is Midge Ure, who has received Ivor Novello, Grammy, BASCAP awards along with a flotilla of gold and platinum records. Other acts include The Skids, The Bluebells, Hue & Cry and Lloyd Cole.
SECC Hall 3: Hall 3 will include performances from Scottish artists who have inspired the biggest acts in the world, showing the enormous influence that Scotland has had on the international music scene over the past 3 decades. The line up in Hall 3 will include Teenage Fanclub, Idlewild, The Dykeenies and The View.
Clyde Auditorium: This venue will hold the folk/rock artists, and will include Eddi Reader, and Dougie Maclean, whose song Caledonia (now recorded by over 200 artists wordlwide) is covered by chart-topping Scottish artists Paolo Nuttini as well as Amy MacDonald. His version is still, by far, the best though…
Tickets
Tickets for the Clyde Auditorium cost from £22.50 to £30 depending on the seats you buy. Tickets for the SECC range from £20 to £40 depending on which/how many halls you buy tickets for.
