Rock ‘n’ roll legend Jerry Lee Lewis has announced one night in Glasgow’s Clyde Auditorium arena this autumn!

The original and legendary rock ‘n’ roll man will play Glasgow’s Clyde Auditorium on the 10th of September 2015.

Billed as his farewell tour in the UK, this performance could be your last chance to see Jerry Lee Lewis live. Lewis, who celebrates his 80th birthday on the 29th of September this year will also play the London Palladium on the 6th of September.

The shows will feature guest appearances from guitarists James Burton, who formerly played with Lewis’ one-time rival Elvis Presley; and Steve Cropper, from Booker T and the MGs.

The announcement of the gigs coincides with the paperback publication of the singer’s memoir, Jerry Lee Lewis – His Own Story, in which he told his story to Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist Rick Bragg. The book chronicles Lewis’ impoverished upbringing in Ferriday, Louisiana, and his rise to fame in the 1950s with the classic rock’n’roll songs Great Balls of Fire and Whole Lotta Shakin’ Goin’ On.

This is most likely going to be the last time you’ll get the chance to see this legend of rock ‘n’ roll, so make sure you don’t miss out. Get your tickets soon!
